If you've known me for a couple years now then it should be a given that you knew me when I was overweight. I've pretty much accomplished my goal of being in the ideal weight range. Not going to lie, it was definitely hard work and still continues to be difficult at times.
Alittle history, 2-3 years ago it would take me 15 minutes to finish a mile. I was on average a weight of 200 lbs with a peak of 220 lbs. Eventually I started to worry about my health after family and friends expressed their concerns. They opened my eyes to the fact that I was more vunerable to become diabetic and have heart disease. Reason being is because my dad and all my grandparents are either diabetic or has had a heart disease.
I can now say that I am proud of myself but still want to obtain more personal accolades. Currently, I run 3 miles in 23 minutes (+/- sec). One of my ultimate goals is to cut the time down to 18 minutes. This is along with my other physical goals of completing a 5k and 10k mud run, half and full marathon, and a triathlon.
The reason I am writing this note, is so I have a record of what I want to accomplish. Making these goals public will help me stay motivated so I can be an inspiration for anyone that may need it.
